Her nephew, Peter Pepperdine, is philandering in some vile pool hall. Finally she is ready to leave and has arrangements made for Jasmine to take care of Peter and Thorndyke Murglethrope, who is to coach Peter during the summer months in Latin. Mrs. Clarkston and her two daughters enter the scene causing a series of events which end in Peter's aunt return- ing. finding two ghosts haunting her domicile, Peter gone and a very frightened Jasmine. Everything works out to the best, though, Peter and Bill Bradshaw, his pal, return unharmed with Muggsy in tow. Explana- tions are made to all and Peter finally finds himself situated again. 29
