Mr. Mullen, with the assistance of Miss Zarfoss, guides the students in these phases of art: drawing, painting, and ceramics. As one walks down the hall they can't help hut notice the riot of color and design that grace the bulletin boards and tables of the two very fwell equipped art rooms. ln the field of painting there are many aspects to he studied: oil painting, the Old Masters, and water color painting are a few phases that the stu- dent may undertake. Our ceramic classes prove to stir the thinking of the student as all of their work is completely original. They work with such materials as clay, silver, and copper. The ultimate goals of the art instructors are to stimulate the minds of the art students and through learning and experimentation teach the students to appreciate the heauty of real art. 18 Art for art's sake
