Anna Krysher, Dale Bupp. Rosalie Ensor, Allen Wonders. As we tune in our Space Vision Receiver, we see the first space ship speeding toward Mars. Aboard are two human guinea pigs, Captain William Decker and Professor Garry Fasick. Quiet! I think we hear sound coming in. It sounds like two people talking. “Captain, now that we have all the details taken care of, we don't have anything else to do so lets look through our Ultra-Sensitive Space Telescope and see how our classmates are doing.’’ “All right, Professor, I’ll focus it on earth. “Say, that big fenced-in area in southwestern United States, doesn’t that look like Stanley Prosser’s ranch? “Yes, that’s it all right because I now see Stan in his office dictating to his secretary, Darlene Darr.” “Captain, eastern United States is coming into focus now. There is John Schlotzhauer, now a professor at MIT, teaching a class of young nuclear physicists. In the back of the room it looks like a pair of twins. They must be Jean Tanner’s. In John’s office is his private secretary, Rosalie Ensor, busily working. “Professor, good old Pennsylvania is coming into focus. Doesn’t that factory have David Miller’s name on it?” “Yes, and it looks like most of his employees are housewives working part time to help support their families. There I see some of our classmates, Marie Stalb and Mildred Kuhn, working fast and furiously. His secretaries are Mary Weigle and Anna Krysher. He also has employed a telephone operator, Nancy Davis, to keep the lines open to John Adams’ Garage. “John is also Dave’s advisor on mechanics. “That looks like Mary Group, now a reporter for the New York Times, stopping at Adams’ Garage for gas.” “I guess she is on her way to the new educational center to do a story. Incidentally, Luther Spertzel designed the whole interior of this huge skyscraper. In this center many different branches of education are taught. Dean Tate and Mina Miller are two ot the top teachers in the business field. Elaine Brough is the head of the art department. Kay Delp and Helen Smith are the supervising principal and principal, respectively, of elementary education. Betty Blevins is the head secretary in the center. Dale Bupp and Allen Wonders sell a lot of the vegetables which they grow on their farms to the cafeteria of which Shirley Davis is dietitian.” “Say, someone must be hurt. There go Jean Hoffman’s twin girls into the nurses office.” Why it’s Aria Lehman, the medical secretary showing them into Ruthanna Trostle and Ann Smith’s office.” “As I focus across the Atlantic seaboard, I see the new Naval Training Center for WAVES. Marlene Lerew has just been promoted to commanding officer of the base.” “Well, Captain, I guess it is back to work again. We are now nearing Mars according to the radarscope. Boy, am I ever glad that Bill Weigle got that scope perfected and installed. Just think of all the fun we would be missing.” “I think I’m more thankful for that Air Force General, Ronald King, who designed and set off this ship. Now we can really see that lies ahead of us.” FIRST ROW: Nola Adams, Velma Brough, Beverly Bupp, James Cashman, Carole Chronister, William Coulson, Roger Emlet, Donna Gembe, Yolanda Golden, Harold Griffie, Gayle Gulden, Esther Harbold, Carl Hikes, Janet Hinkle, Dorothy Lerew, David McCartney, Mary McCauslin, Linda Roth, Robert Schlotzhauer, Anna Mae Stambaugh, Richard Stoner, Marlin Tate, Paul Weigel, George Weigle, Nancy Weigle, George Williams, Roy Williams, Russell Yeagy.
