I believe it reflects the academic and the extracurricular activities of our school, and I know that it represents many hours of hard work. We may be justly proud of our school, its activities, and the record made by its graduates. We must not, however, be satisfied to rest upon our laurels. We live in a world of prog- ress, so rapid that unless we are constantly alert, we may be left behind. Each year, each week, each day, we must try to improve both as a school and as individuals. Any other course will leave us stranded by the wayside while others pass us by. CLASS OF 1959 Strictly speaking, this is your yearbook. As you turn its pages, it will bring back many happy memories. It will in- crease in value from year to year. May you always remem- ber your days at York High School with pleasure and pride.
