Coached by vocal director Mrs. Vera Rathkamp, The chorus of society ladies. Solos by Marion, Harold, Several members of supporting cast. Were quite impressive. Town Council’s expansion of Barbershop Quartet sang their humor. Mrs. Paroo, Marion’s Irish mother Perfectly portrayed in Kay Heith. Audience’s favorites Marcellus, played by Greg Hodge Winthrop Paroo, Cheryl Hall And Laraine Kelly as Ethel Tofflemeir Leading her flock of gossiping society ladies Toni Liverman as Eulalie Shinn Stubbornly defied her. TL: The town turns out for the Wells Fargo wagon arrival. TR: Professor Hill tries to get the aid of the town librarian. C: The music man makes his first appearance. BL: Denise adds finishing touches on Mayor Shinn. BR: The music man and his sidekick discuss their present job. 16

Planned for curtain rising March 21st through 25th. Concentrated study, part Memorization, rehearsals Stretched every day and night. Never ending three nights That last week, anxious Eager to show their product Tears of forgotten lines Gasps at the full house crowd Then 8 o’clock — The show began. Laurie Denby and Don Erbschloe Played talented leads — Marion Paroo and Harold Hill. T: Mark Erickson and Mark Knight loosen up during a short break. CL: Mr. Sullivan offers helpful criticism. CR: Greg Hodge assumes his character. BL: Jay Carroll and Jason Gray discuss the future of the town ruffian. BR: Dancers do some serious practicing. 15 I

Infuriated husband, the mayor Jay Carroll. Dancers stayed right in step Jay Seaman kept time, volunteering Talent and perseverance to his Alma Mater. Total dramatics directors Mr. Mike Sullivan, Miss Pat Crymes Sighed with relief as productions Carried on without catastrophe. Mr. Allen Wright ' s stage band Commended for their skill Handling diversity and solos. The final curtain call Applauded with the fifth standing ovation Closing a week so fast. Four months of hard work Celebrated in tremendous Cast party And exhausted students. TL: Mrs. Mills’ art students help by painting backdrops. TR: The Grecian urns provide dance entertainment for the town. C: Professor Hill gains support for the band. BL: Men in black, Gary Fulton and Alton McIntosh engage in some commando activities. BR: Dancers use opportunity to display their agility. 17 -
