Class Hlstory We the Class of 1959, entered the halls of York Hn as 21 fearless Freshmen ln September, 1955 Though we dnd feel a bntlnslgnnflcant, we were anxiously awaltlng the many adventures of the next four years Our class election resulted wnth Kenny Morgan, president Janice Roberts vlce president Ellen Trusdle secretary, Ruth Woleslagel treasurer, and Susan Folk, student council represent atlve To boost the school splrnt we sold York Panthers pennants and beanies Next September found us sophomores rarm ta go The lust of social actlvntles Included various partles and the January Snow Jump Rapplng the gavel was Roger Orwlg with Jeanne Wledle wanting her turn an case of emergency Leon Mo er collected the dues and dough whsle Jamce Roberts kept the records Ruth Wo eslagel defended us In student council Our Junlor year was filled with new and excltlng experiences Thrllled were we when our long awaited class rung arrived Durmg basketball games or the noon hour we could be found selling our dellclous candy In December, after many rlotous rehearsals, the curtam descended on Belles ln Waltlng under Mrs Zlmmerman s directing On Prom mght we dined and Max Corzine with Pat Hayward close by Pushing the pencil again was .lam e Roberts Roger Orwlg wlth the help of Carol Sue Andrews, kept the moldy mllllons lt took two that year to relate our bralnstor'ns to the student council and they were Jeanne Wledle and Duck Brandal This year we take our place on the top rung as 19 Sophlstlcated Sennors Max Corzine and Janice Roberts keep their posntxons as president and secretary Roger Orwlg takes over for Max occasionally and Ruth Woleslagel IS left holding the bag Duck Brandal and Pat Hayward voice our two buts to the student ouncll A we roll up our sleeves and dug Into the work and fun we see In our future such thnngs as taking Sensor pictures, ordermg lnvltatlons and name cards presenting our play, enloymg the Prom, and traveling Into the wide unknown on our trlp lust to mention a few Then comes GRADUATION As we snake sure that our caps and gowns are lust right and 'narch to the platform soon to become hugh school alumnz, we realrze that this IS the time for which we have been laboring for the past 12 years But It wall be with reluctance that we leave the halls of York H1 to make our mark an the world This page IS sponsored by YODER S DRIVE IN Homemade Ice Cream Dalry Creme, Chicken Sandwlches French Fries and Coffee Bellevue, Ohio 19 o I . .
