I, 'i 1 6 QV, 'OVM toon Mon un,- un- on ' - .h' f On Jun l, 2027, five days after I attempted a solo flight to the moon, I was formally introduced to St Peter at the Golden Gates of Paradise Immediately I was sent to the Registration Booth to enter my name among those who preceded me As I stepped up to the desk, I face with my old classmate of '53 , Lois Bar tholomew, who is now chief registrar Lois was given this Job for the an able work whe did for the Brinks Armored Car Service as head accountant found mvsell face to As soon as I had signed my name, I entered the gates and began to inspect the pr mises, I was quick to observe another old class mate of mine, Burdella Gardner She was dancing among the clouds Just like she use to during her high school days I was standing there watching Birdie dance, when who should come and greet me but Janet White and MarJor1e Andrews They told me that the two of them had spent much time working on a Super Jet Convertible so that they would be able to catch their old heartthrob Lowell Moyer I guess Lowell's Plymouth was too fast for them be cause they caught pneumonia instead Lowell hasn't yet entered these Gates, he is still on earth manufacturing Junk for our old classmate Robert Fry Bob made his first million in the Junk business and is still going strong By this time I was getting hungry I could smell the rich fra grance of hamburger and french fries Three clouds to my right I saw the Cafeteria I went in and rang for the waitress, and who should appear but dear old Luci Frederick Luci was Just as friendly as ever and still a good cook I guess that is why every body here is so happy I walked over to the Jute box, put in a nickel, and who do you think I heard? Why it was Sally Folk, another member of my graduat ing class from old York High Sally became a night club singer after a few years of married life which was just too dull for her exciting personality As soon as I had finished my french fries, I got up to leave the peaceful surroundings of the Cafeteria I had hardly gone far ther than the door when I bumped into a very angry and disgusted custodian Apologizing to him I realized it was my old buddy, Arnold Zepernick I guess Zip had good reasons to be angry He had Just found his assistant, James Waterfield, sleeping on top of a cloud Jim always did have a weakness for sleeping After a brief talk with Arnold and Jim, I continued on my way. I was just passing an information booth when I recognized, of all people, Dean Hayward. Dean was just giving some information to a very excited and enthusiastic Carroll Meyer. I went over to the booth to see if I could find out what Carroll was so enthused about. Well of all things! He just received the present addresses of three of his old girl friends from Greensprings, Ohio. Well, it was just a few hours ago that I entered these Golden Gates of Paradise and already I have seen or heard about all my old classmates of 1953. ,W 51 l L' I Q - - N N9 2 V J .
