LDSS L-IISTCDQY In 1947 our class took its big step into High School. Nita wide eyed eager- ness we took our Seats ln the Freshman Class. This year FT8HAllH Schoen joined us. Harley Polley was elected president with Roger Vlckery assisting. Violet Peters took the notes while Donald Hackenburg handled the cash. After three months vacation, we returned with Harley Pulley remaining pres ident for a second term Robert Gardner sat in as vice presicent, Franklin Schoen jotted down our activities and Ralph Swartz handled the long green Our class was increased by one when Kenneth Wood joined us Our Junior year found us deciding on a class play After many trying even ings of rehearsal for our director, but with much engoyment for ou selves, we put across Hmystery In The Library Durlug the fall we selected our class rings and received them soon after December lst Ralph Swartz was lnstalled as president with Phyllis Gilbert second in line Led Cook wrote the minutes and Harley Polley deposited the moola Our source of income came from selling refreshments at our basketball games We sold Christmas cards Sc wrapping which also helped the treasu y Our Junior k Senior Prom was held in the Log Cabin at BayBridge It proved to be a great success With bated breath we Seniors counted the few remaining school days This was our great feat! Don Mehle headed the class w1th.Harley Polley substitut ing Kenneth Nood oushed the pencll and Violet Peters was appointed treasurer our graduation plctures were taken early ln Jovember The year book staff was appolnted and more work was done by all The last few QOHLOS were busy ones for the seniors The events lncluded Senlor Play, Baccalaureate, Com.encement, class day, and last but not east, a trlo to New York City k Coney Island After graduation some of us will go on to college Others of us will get throughout their school llfe Even though we have gIBGUBUEd from dear old York, we will still be Alumnus of York nign School, and have the memories of good times that we dave had EO5EfH9I ompllments of Compllmen s of com liments or V ITT Ann Lnbo SrOw iLnn'S oROonHX JlnoO 'S CLUT1I u SlOR.
