York is more than a school building, It embraces something besides bricks, books, teachers, students and work. York is a shared experience, some- thing which is not contined by its red brick walls. lt is a tradition - many traditions - a complex ot standards, attitudes, purposes, and relationships, all ot which live within the minds of all of those who have ever learned, competed, labored, and laughed within these walls. lt is a part of all of us who have telt the exuberance and challenge of youth at York.
