The choices are made on behaIT of all The sTudenTs, For YorIc's Third annual homecoming, Pep Club once again sponsored The big dance honoring alumnae. Kings and queens chosen by Their respecTive classes were crowned aT This gala alifair. Reigning over all Homecoming were seniors, Lois STouT and John Teschner. Each spring, Pep Club holds a dance honoring basI4eTbaII players. This year iT was girl- aslc-boy and semi-Tormal. IT was very successful. The mosT acTive members oT Pep Club are amply rewarded wiTh club pins. The pins are awarded To members on a poinT basis. The Square Dance Club, sponsored by Mr. Kelly, was lormed live years ago. The purpose ol lhis club is lo acquainl sludenls wilh a popular, bul nol new Form ol enlerlainmenl. ll also lries lo creale inleresl and develop skill in lolk dancing and square dancing. The sludenls who belong lo lhis club learn lhe dillerenl lerms and calls lor every slep and move- menl in lhe dance. This is really somelhing lo know al a real square dance, because il lakes quile some lime lor a beginner lo learn: and a beginner who doesn'l know whal lo do can gel everybody else mixed up loo.
