Harvey Rhodes, in his first year at York College, directs the A Cappella Chorus and the East Hill Minstrels and teaches many of the school's music courses. A graduate ol Harding College, he holds the M.A. degree from Texas Tech Univer- sity and has completed course work toward the doctorate. Prior to his coming to York, Rhodes served as director of choral activities at Crowley's Ridge Col- lege and Academy in Paragould, Ark. for three years and as part time instructor at Texas Tech for two yea rs, The A Cappella Chorus has actively represented York College for the 21 -year history ofthe school under the present administration. The 57 mem- ber chorus, composed of students from all over the United States, is chosen by audition every year. The Chorus has traveled extensively throughout the country and even abroad. Pro- grams are primarily presented for congregations of the church or for school assemblies with the purpose of sharing the fellowship in Christ, and for edification and spiritual growth.

Under the direction of Mr. Harvey Rhodes, we have Lee Miller from Kearney, Nebraska, Lola Huber from Kansas City, Missouri, Denny Osborne from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Sherena Sikes from Hollis, Oklahomag Carol Eshleman from Billings, Montana, John Rhea from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Paula Loutzenhiser from Lakeville, Minnesota and Randy Brown from Tulsa, Oklahoma. RECIPE FOR MINSTRELS To V2 cup determination, add SA cup enthusiasm. Blend. Work in many hours of practice. Sprinkle in committment. Brush lightly with smiles.
