' t The 1979-80 school year began with student body elec- tions. Under the leadership of first semester student body president, Shaila Saint, the ye ar was off to a busy and successful start. The Gong Show and Spaghetti Dinner proved to be very popular again this year. Over 750 people enjoyed the show which was sponsered by Mr. Ken Sparks, and the dinner which was provided by the PTA. YLJH again had after school sports. The sports included cross country, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, Softball and track. Our cross country team did especial- ly well with Brian Van Marter setting two new school records. Our seventh grade girls ' soccer team, coached by Mrs. Pat Camp, won the league championship. Our lunchtime activities proved to be very popular also. Homerooms competed against one another in such diverse activities as an egg toss, baby feeding con- test, pie-eating contest, and a bulletin board decorat- ing contest. Other exciting activities were a Sadie Haw- kins Day and an official Nerd Day. Our second semester was off to a fine start with new officers led by President Dana Lee. Students enjoyed skate parties and several dances in- cluding a Valentine ' s dance and graduation dance. All in all, most students would agree that it was a very good year! . - - , [ou YEAR 1980 EIGHTH GRADE Adams, April Aguiar, Michael Alvarez, Rudy Anslelt, Kim Araiza, Paul Araujo, Kris Archuleta, Shawn Audiss, Linda Aufdenkamp, Pam Austreng, Michelle Badger, James Balzer, Albert Barrett, Deann Bell, Debbie bell, Francine Bellwood, Eric Bellman, John Benson, Derek Berkeley, Amanda Bigonger, Carl Bircsak, Thomas Bissett, Dan Blakey, Donald Boglino, Donna Bohnsak, Craig Bommarito, William Boris, Jennifer Bowles, Amy Beyer, Holly Bremer, James Brickner, Todd Briney, Rebecca Brown, Toni Broughton, Jon Broughton, Lisa Buchanan, Kerry Buhler, Laurie Burrer, Diane V Campbell, Ken Carter, Greg Casianeda, Ralph Chemente, Rita Chen, Andrea Christensen, Brett Coe, Scott Colamarino, Robbin Coleman, Melissa Coitharp, Tammy Conner, Mike Corrigan, Donald Cost, Rhonda Cox, Kenneth Crawford, Gen Crawford, Val Cullen, Nancy Curtis, Jeffrey Daelweiler, Michelle 10 Damron, Catherine Daniel, Jeanette Davis, Carrie Dawson, Michelle Day, Karry De Cennaro, )ill De Van, Tina DeRaad, Melissa Diaz, Leslie Diaz, Roger Dicks, Kati Doige, Brian Dooley, Keith Dossey, Stephanie Dougherty, Kevin Doughman, Crystal Douglas, Shawnia Douglas, Tawnia Duarte, Autumn Duncan, Christina Duran, Pete Durbin, Richard Duthoy, Brad n Oyas, Philip Earhari, David Eaton, jacque Elliott, Daniel Ellioii, Greg Ellison, Kim Emerson, Heath Ensign, Wendy Ezell, Alan Fatlori, Cindy Felipe, Janet Fields, Tami Fink, Tim Fisher, Teresa Flores, Stephen Floyd, Alan Forsyth, Shelly Foster, Greg Foster, Tiffany Best Personality- Kent Willey, Lisa Hahn 12 Fox, Lynette France, Jeanne Franson, Paul Frawley, James French, Darin French, Philip Frickle, Mike Fulton, David Fyfe, Mary Ann Gallagher, Michael Garcia, Rosalie Gates, Denise Cavitte, Steven Ceiger, Wayne Giboney, Dale Gissinger, Marty Gomez, Rudy Govereau, James Grabowski, Pam Graves, Jeff Gray, Colleen Green, Jeffrey Greene, Steven 13 Gregory, Leslie Greyshock, Doug Griffith, Diana Griffith, Julie Gunderson, Brett Haddad, Sarah Hagar, Robert Hahn, Lisa Haney, Rod Manning, Elizabeth Hanscom, Garrett Hansen, Inga Hanson, Maureen Harrington, Sean Harsma, Robert Haugh, Mike Henricks, Robert Herrera, Arlene Hillier, Karen 14 Holguin, Sandra House, Christine Hovda, Melissa Howard, Judy Huelsenbeck, John Hugo, Denny Hummitsch, Chuck Hundley, Elise Hutchison, Dina Ingersoll, David Iwamotto, Leann Jacovelli, Dom Jasper, Robert Jenkins, Deanne Jimenez, Candice Johnson, David Joiner, Brent Jones, David Jones, Matthew Jorgensen, Erik Karaba, Stephanie Kefauver, Patrice Kehl, Kathleen 15 Kennedy, John Knapp, Casey Knowllon, Rhonda Kochcr, Cary Kralick, Adricn Kurisu, Chris Lacko, Leslie Lakin, David Lang, Elizabeth Languein, Chris Lee, Dana Lesch, Robert Levin, David Lewis, Dana Lima, Ben Linden, Tim Luxa, Dorothy Lynch, Mary McDonald, Christine Best All Around Sludcnls- Bob Woodard.
