In school consolidation, in bus trans- portation,in curriculum improvements, George P, Barron was a man of vision, but no visionary. He put the Yoakum Schools on a sound financial and business basis, and there they have remained. He was a builders a man who has prac- tically replaced the school plant with which he started, Superintendent Barron chose dozens of excellent teachers, and backed them to the limit.
