Barron, Ernest Long, Fritz Barre, Raetzsch Wagner, Joe Iarmon, and Henry Matthew. SCHOOL BOARD OFFICERS: President, Fritz Barre Secretary, Ernest Long Vice President, Raetzsch Wagner iw The measure of a school is the progress made by the students. Each year a large number of boys and girls graduate from our high school department. Some classes are superior, some average, and occasionally there is a class that is a bit below average in ability to go forward and conquer new fields. The important question in the lives of graduates and in the work of our teachers is what progress has the class made? Has each individual progressed to the limit of his capacity? If so, the work of teachers and students has reached perfec- tion. Of course, this is never to be expectedg but it is a goal which we must hold in view if our efforts are to be worthy. wife? SUPERINTENDENT GEORGE P. BARRON SECRETARIES MRS. DOLORES LILLEY MRS. CLEM RAMERT Knowledge learned from books must be expressed in useful activities to develop a complete and happy personality. Infqrmation like the talents in the Bible must be multiplied by service, otherwise by narrow thinking and selfish instincts, it may suffer for want of as- sociation. All supervised activities are but outwa rdex- pressions of inward learning, too vital not to be shared with others. He who is in the midst of chosen activities grows in wisdom, poise, peace of mind, and happiness. Sincerely yours, Nannie Ray Baker Dean of Girls Our daily task is m ainly what educates us. The name of the author of this quotation escapes me, but I believe it is profoundly true. Our routine of classes, assemblies, class meetings, club meet- ings, and extracurricular activities is mainly what t rain s us, and g ive s us the foundation for future work. Special events may ling e r in our memory, but what we accomplished in our daily tasks will be the basis for our future. R. G.
