As we have undergone personal metamorphosis, so too has this institution. A new president with a new administration, the coming and going of three different deans of students, the continuing financial crunch and the birth of a new motto — We will because we must. Departure causes one to reflect upon that which he is about to enter. The world has changed with us. The era of peace between Israel and Egypt causes us to rejoice with trembling. The renewed tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union causes us to wonder if times are really changing or merely playing repeat performances. We wonder, for we do not know. We search for answers, while not fully understanding the questions. We strive for excellence in two worlds, fully aware that few ever achieve excellence in even one. Perhaps it is our youthful naivete which allows us to carry on. Perhaps it is our idealism. Perhaps it is necessity. - . ™ - If one tells you he has search and struggled but has not discovered, do not believe him. If one says he has dis- covered without struggle, do not believe him. However if one says he has searched, struggled, and then discovered, believe him. This is our truth and discovery at Yeshiva.
