Y E S H I VA UNIVERSITY YESHIVA COLLEGE id 186th Street New York, N.Y, 10033 (212) LOrraine 8-8400 OFFICE OF THE DEAN TO THE CLASS OF 1967 You had the privilege of living for four years in an atmosphere which fosters exchange of ideas and self -generated inquiry. The unique aspect of your education at Yeshiva College was that, in addition to majoring in one of the subjects traditional in an American liberal arts college, every one of you also took a major in the humanities in the form of Jewish studies, constituting at least one half of your total program. This dual program helped to sharpen your intellectual acuity and to raise the limits of your potential. The special nature of your morning studies reinforced by those in the afternoon deepened your moral, ethical and philosophical insights, broadened your attitudes, and, thus, conditioned you for a richer and more fruitful life. As you, members of the 36th graduating class, leave the sacred halls of Yeshiva, the best wishes of the faculty and the administration go with you. I hope that whether you be far or near you will always retain interest in your Alma Mater and her concerns, and I wish each and every one of you farewell in the sense that you may truly fare well. Dr. Isaac Bacon Dean June 12, 1967
