VANCOUVER The YULA Senior girls 7-day trip to Vancouver be- gan somewtiot inauspiciously Mrs Derovon almost missed coming along, several girls couldn ' t make it, and Rabbi Hexter intimated ttiat if we slipped up we mighit as well stay in Vancouver permanently In spite of everythiing, ihe trip was extremely event- ful and successful. In addition to touring scenic Vic- toria, bike riding, and engaging in on exhilirating snowball figtit on Grouse Mountain (poor Mirna[), tfie girls visited the Vancouver Talmud Torah, most serving as teacher ' s aids and some preparing a Kiddush for the school All through the trip, one note prevailed: puns. We punned everywhere, relieving occasional mo- ments of tension, inventing punny and not-so- punny remarks. As we travelled the structures span- ning Vancouver ' s innumerable channels, we wor- ried at times about our safety (Mrs Derovon kept mentioning that those have been known to col- lapse) in true YULA spirit, we decided that we would cross the bridge when we come to it
