J , i l ,....l i i i S.1Z Teacher , Having been students for twelve years, we feel that we have only begun to understand the depth and meaning of this term. It remains a calling to some, a simple ambition to others-but, in truth, we know it to be an impossible, albeit gratifying, task. We are therefore, proud to dedicate this year- book tothe person we feel embodies all that a Teach- er truly is. Instructor of Chumash and Navi, Miss Gffenbacher sees to it that her lessons are both animated and well-prepared. Despite the demanding syllabus, she always manages to include timely dis- cussions in her class work. Few other teachers could have sulTered our excessive questioning- philosophical and otherwise. But Miss OFfenbacher's official capacity extends far beyond the classroom. As our guidance counselor, she has spent endless hours preparing us for college and the years ahead. As student council advisor. she has extended a helping hand to anyone in need and has always been ready to listen to us and to act on our behalf. lt can be said that in her five years in the school, Miss OlTenbacher's involvement never ended with the school day. Miss Offenbacher is truly a Moral:-Derech, a teacher of ways, a paragon ofthe synthesis of Torah and Maddalz. It is for all of this that we dedicate our yearbook to Miss Ellen Offenbacher. It is our small way ofsaying Thank You, Teacher
