They tell us in their strange language that a structure is 1 being errected. A vessel is being built fo carry its passengers o'er if a very unpredictable river-The River of Life. fig The water has many faces. She can laugh loudly and play- fully, she can smile gently and peacefully. She can hate and fight with surging and foaming anger. The ship must be strong. She 5 must combat. And, she must conquerl Four years ago it started. Four long and laborious years ago X 5 'L' the project began. Little boats bearing youth from many different Qt' ports assembled at one central shipyard. Here would commence I , .X the building of the mighty vessel that would succeed in traversing the waves and storms that would try to destroy her. Here the youth ' 1 ' would prepare their minds and their bodies before entering their Nw ship, so that disaster and crisis would become healthy challenges ,5 rather than despairing obstacles. .31 l , The four years are ended now. The ship stands tall and erect f if k against the face of the sky. Dedication Life is a river. Into it flows a sinuous tributary called Preparation. If Life is to be challenged, Preparation must first be experienced.
