My father saw the miracle- The redemption from Egyptg Bly mother danced with Miriam By the Red Sea. Together they trembled Before the Revelation On the mountain called Sinai IVhere an inheritance was xvrit, An inheritance forever So their children could live In the land of the Jews -I must go to Israel For I am a Iexv. I am a Jew-my soul can never die For I clutch the TREE OF LIFE -I have lived through inquisitions XVars and concentration camps And still my hunters see my face- I shall not perish from this earth.
