Biology lesson delivered by Mr. David Schiff. ABORATORY work forms an integral part of all the subjects taught by our Science De- partment. These courses consist of General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Of the four, General Science and Biology are required by students for graduation. Chemistry and Phys- ics are available to students as electives. It is gratifying to note that the elective science courses are becoming more and more in demand by the student body. Mr. Morris Septimus mathematics Mr. Milton Spin instructs trigonometry class. N avid interest in mathematics has been in- stilled in our students by the varied methods and techniques employed by the Mathematics Department. Our many capable instructors are drawn from several fine schools, bringing with them abilities which can only be gained by years of experience. Elementary Algebra, Tenth Year Math, Inter- mediate Algebra, Trigonometry, Advanced Alge- bra and a college course in calculus and analytic geometry make up the gamut of instruction taught by the Math Department. Two and a half years of mathematics are required, but most students receive full advantage of the math curriculum by taking the entire four year course. Mr. Louis Cooper Mr. Harry Goldstein
