Under the direction of their able president, Vernon Pursel, and sponsor, Grant Davis, they have thus far planned the school calendar, guaranteed national assemblies for next year, taken care of all financial business of the student body, and planned interesting student body assemblies. It is felt by many that schools teach children to pass examinations - this being the proving ground for the future. However, through many trials and errors, it has been found that the ability to pass an examination is a minor attribute and the main obiective of our present day high school is to train youths to live and grow intelligently. You young ladies and young men of the graduating class of 1954 have gone through this process and now, we sincerely hope, you are prepared to make further progress toward your final goal. The rest is up to you. Stop staring up the steps and start stepping up the stairs. My sincere congratulations on your graduation and many best wishes for a grand future. GRANT DAVIS Principal
