The purpose of the Honor Society is to encourage scholarship among the stu- dents of Yelm High School and promote good citizenship. These boys, in the four years of taking agri- culture, receive pins in honor ot the Future Farmers of America. Two are given by their own chapter, and the other two by the State FFA. These tour degrees are Green hand and Chapter Farmer, which the chapter gives out, State Farmer and American Farmer, which is given by the State FFA. The chapter enters public speaking and parlimentary procedure contests with chapters from other schools. The FFA sponsors dances, turkey rattles, and sells popcorn, candy, and other things as money making proiects. Each year the adviser and students take a tour of each rnember's farm. At that time, the student shows his proiect and his improvements on the farm. The FFA Chapter Sweetheart and her Princesses receiving gifts from president of FFA Dance.
