ORGANIZATIONS Chrn. -Ronnie Bickley Kay Scarborough Wanda Bell HISTORY The Yatesville School build- ing succeeded the Joseph E. Johnson institute. In 1912, the Yatesville citizens voted bonds and built a modern eight-room building with an auditorium at a cost of 330, 000. The school was built on land purchased from W. W. Childs on October 22, 1925. The school was ac- credited by the State Depart- ment of Education in 1934. Forty five of the mere 110 stu- dents in the county system were enrolled at Yatesville. The school enrollment at present is 530. In 1948, 10 acres of land was purchased, making a total of 15 acres, 4 -L.-1-.
