To the Class of 1974: Individually and collectively you have excelled in many ways during your tenure at Yarmouth Junior-Senior High School. ' I first met you six years ago when you were seventh graders, and I have watched you changed from that beautifully awkward age to an age of physical and emotional maturity . The changes which you have experienced have been difficult at times , but you have successfully coped with problems which have confronted you and thankfully your optimistic outlook towards life has brought you more moments of happiness than sadness. I have shared so much with you, and each year I have become closer to you. There will be a void in my life next year. I have mentioned excellence , and I can cite example after example of how your class has excelled in scholastics, athletics, citizenship and many other often mentioned areas of concern. But nothing is more important than excelling in your relationships with other people . Most of you have exhibited the human qualities which I admire . Concern for the welfare and hap- piness of others, tolerance of the weaknesses and mistakes of others, and love of the beauty of life characterize your class. I like you, and I will miss you.
