They selected Paul Smith, Jean Van Epps, and Bette Lee as their officers. When they were sophomores many were chosen as members of prominent high school clubs. Some became book worms since their desire for knowledge increased. The class found good leadership in Wesley Cimpl, Gladys Baade, and Wilma Pond, as their otficers. In their junior year the class was headed by Jean Van Epps, Bob Milliken, and Gladys Baade. Their advisers were Ella Bang and William Thrall. Many activities enlightened the year, namely: the Mardi Gras, the Arlckara Day cele- brations, the junior play, My Cousin From Texas, and the junior-senior prom and banquet. As seniors the class did outstanding work in the field of athletics. Jack Onstott was selected all-conference tackle. Bob Milliken was captain of the Arickara team. The officers of the senior class were Bob Milliken, president, Lyle Reynolds, vice-president: and Louis Nusinson, secretary-treasurer. , The present seniors now give a farewell salute to Yankton high school. They will go through the open door into their respective fields and will take many pleasant memories along. Class Motto: We are the architects of our own destiny.
