Math And English The English and Math Depart- ments underwent many new changes last year. One major change was the addition of two new teachers. Mrs. Garnick taught English while Mr. Fodge headed up the Algebra and Con- sumer Math section. Mrs. Staebler student taught in the fall in English. Another new change was a class called Advanced Englishg this was taught by Mr. Stiff. In September the Advanced English class went to Ashland for the Shakesperian festival. Sophomore Communications Skills, a full year course re- quired for all sophomores was offered for the lst time this year. 1 1 5 2 I-will 1, Brad Blair portrays a detective in the Junior Class Play. 2, Jillene Widdison and Vicki Owens slave over their math books with the help of Mr. Fodge. 3, Advisor Olga Dillin and Tami Miller work on Y-C Expression. 4, Mike Harris demonstrates practical communication, Sophomore that is . 5, Members of the class of '81 in Frosh English.. 6, Shakesperian stage, Ashland, Oregon was visited'by Advance English and College Prep classes in September. 7, Tracy Smith checks her answers with jim Sutton as Scot Bernards listens attentively in Algebra I. efAcADrM1cs L 1 pemnmwi-Q

Science New teachers as Well as new classes were added to the science department. Marcia Garrick was the teacher added to the staff. Becky Lowe student taught the 3rd nine weeks. General science was re- quired for freshmen and health was made a junior or senior requirement. A. T. V. and vidio tape machine added life to the history classes.
