His father, VVilliam Howard Stovall, was born in Columbus, Tenn., February 20, 1834, and is a cotton planter at Stovall, Miss., the firm being XVilliam H. Stovall Ka Son. His mother's name was Roberta Franks, and her home was in La Grange, Texas. There were two children in the family, Howard is the only one living. He prepared at Lawrenceville. He was out for the crew in Freshman year, and went out for wrestling in Senior year. Yale Battery. Secretary of Southern Club. Lawrenceville Club. Delta Psi and St. Anthony Hall.
