On the restoration of Charles H, he Hed to this country and settled Hrst in Providence, and in 1687 moved to Norwalk. He was married October 16, 1862, and resides at I57 Remsen St., Brooklyn, N. Y. He was the originator of th-e New York Gold Exchange, and a member of the New York Stock Exchange for over 40 years. His mother, whose maiden name was Frances Hendrick- son Simonton, daughter of VVilliam Henry and Catherine Matilda QNestellj Simonton, was born April 2, 1833, in New York City. She died September 17, 1879, in Green Cove Springs, L. I.
