O I of the Yale Jamaica Bagley High School 1963 BLUE 'n' GOLD We, the annual staff of 1968, dedicate our yearbook to you, Mrs. Velma Erps, for your long-time service. Mrs. Erps served on the school board for fifteen years. In 1945 she resigned from the school board to fill a vacancy in the faculty. She has taught for eighteen years since that time. There is a destiny that makes us brothers. None goes his way alone. All that we give into the lives of others comes back into our own.

. . h THE IMAGE OF Y-I-B A figure of speech, common in current usage, is the 'Image' of some individual or organization. This word is used to signify the mental picture or conception of such things that an outside observer might formulate about them. Does Y-J-B have, in all respects, the kind of Image we would like it to have? We must be aware that it is primarily the students of a school that create its Image. Most 'people form their opinion of a school from their observations of the actions of its stu- dents and from the way the students talk about their school. Some of the things that impress people most favorably is a solid support of the teams, the school's organizations, and your fellow students. Naturally, appropriate- ness of dress and mannerly conduct are also equally important in their impact on others. Each of you needs to make it your purpose to strengthen the Image of Y-I-B: that you may be proud of that Image in the years to come.
