This is a hand in hand relationship, as our students grow in years and wisdom, so they demand that our school grow with them. We have gladly met the challenge with two additions to our curriculum. Drama and Girls’s Pliys. Ed. have done much for the growth of our students as well as Yale High School. Our students have contributed to our development out- side of the classroom. Our activities have noticed an en- thusiastic participation. We would like to thank the Seniors for their contribu- tions to our growth. We only hope that we have been suc- cessful in bending the twig, so that their lives might be happy and prosperous. The yearbook staff worked enthu- siastically in its efforts to publish the first yearbook devoted solely to Yale High School. The School may look with pride to those staff members who met their responsibilities. The newspaper staff has served the high school by publishing a monthly paper of a high professional caliber. French Club Spanish Club The French Club lias devoted much of its efforts this year toward the support of a French orphan, Vivianne Lognon. Campbell. M. Harmer. Yale High School Band N The marching band provided the football spectators with several enjoyable half-time shows this fall. The majorettes were especially entertaining in the special routines they had worked out. Alter the football season the band hurriedly prepared for the annual Christmas Concert. Following the Christmas Con- cert the band began practice for the Sanilac County Band Festival. The band then participated in the Spring Cabaret Con- cert and the Blue Water Festival. Yale Royalty Our Yale Royalty reigned over the gala events of this fall Prior to the evening selection of king and queen, the com- munity was treated to an afternoon parade. Diane Bullock was selected as queen and reigned over the second half of the Homecoming game. Could that pretty smile have sparked the Bulldog victory over Deckerville? At the Homecoming Dance, Diane reigned with Yale's king. Bill DeWolf. Bulldogs Charge to Victory The Yale Bulldogs worked hard to accomplish their win- ning season. They played rough and rugged football. Their determination to win pulled them through many games. Pete Micheiz Spark the Team Our senior players sparked the Bulldogs on to a winning season. Their experience and determination will be missed next year. The loss of 10 seniors will be offset by the returning Juniors and Sophomores who gained invaluable experience. The football players can be rightly proud of having contributed to Yale’s winning athletic season. We wish them the best of luck on next years’ gridiron. The team worked endlessly to improve throughout the season, and improve they did. Scott Richards and Dennis Hyde did much to add to the total tally of points at the end of each meet.
