FQRE. CRD Silhouetted against the sky, our school eagerly awaits the autumn. During the fall, winter, and spring months, it is filled from Monday to Friday with laughing voices, quiet study halls, reciting classes, and all the other sounds that make up a day at school. It is close enough to Davis and Kumler fields to hear the cheering voices as our Pirates participate in athletics, an important part of our educational program. There are the weekends with programs, plays, and concerts in the auditorium, parties and dances in the gym, and once each year the Junior-Senior Reception is held in the gaily decorated library. Then, with the blossoming of trees, the return of the birds, and the warm rays of the sun, our school, with some reluctance, sees June approaching. Once again, as it does each year, a new class leaves, better prepared to take its place in society and to try to make the world a better place in which to live. May this record of the highlights, accomplishments, pleasant associations, and hopes of our last year together here at YHS reunite us in fond memories of our Hhigh school days . 2
