You'lI he seniors by and hy. This was the greeting that we as freshmen got on the first day of school in 1946. With such a large building and such a small class. it seemed almost impossible that we would ever become seniors. Soon we will be leaving the school with only pleasant memories of YHS. But before we leave. we wottld like to remind you--lest you forget-of some of the accomplishments ofthe class of 1950. Our freshman year was under the capable leadership of Pat McBarron as president. We were the most worthy class in high schoolsaccording to the janitors-for we were the only class to clean up properly after ottr two parties. I With the coming of our sophomore year we were joined by Mrs. Irene Billington. our advisor. and many new mem- bers from Franklin and Washington ,lunior Highs. Now we could hold our own. We promptly elected the following lead- ers for our IOL year: Bill Pearl. president: Pete Trusley. vice-president: Darlene Dexter. secretary: Dick Allen. treasurer: Nancy Hollinsworth, historian: Guy Shinn. ASB representative: Menton Sveen. Boys League representative: Dolores Ifaton. Cirls League representative: Al Simmons. boys' athletic manager: and Marion Dietz. girls' athletic manager. We had just got estahlished and learned the importance of good grades when we were honored with new l0II class officers. They were: president. .lim Murphy: vice-president. Doreen Brackett: secretary. Kathryn llaguez treasurer. Barbara Graham: historian. Ann Markham: ASB representative. Guy Shinn: Boys League representative. BilbRobhins: Girls League representative. ,Io Ann Keeney: hoys' athletic manage1'. Chuck Shanahan: girls' athletic manager. Betty Armstrong. During our IOH year we gave a spring party. Chuck Shanahan and Ann Markham were co-chairmen. The gym ceil- ing was completely lowered with crepe paper. and beach umbrellas and halloons made it the scene of a garden. The deco- rations, with Doris Huntzinger and Ceralyn Kugler in charge. were said to he as beautiful any ever seen in high school. Leading our Ill, class were: Roger Pugmire, president: Paul Peterson. vice president: .lo Etta Arnt. secretary: Marita lfmmons. treasurer: ,Ioanne Sanford. historian: Boll Anderson. ASB representative: Bob Letnke. Boys League representative: Doris Iluntzinger. Girls League representative: Kenny Waeffler. hoys' athletic manager: and Marilyn Kukay. girls' athletic manager. f!.'0l1lflIllFll lo page 1211 15
