YADKINVILLE SCHOOL RECEIVES THE GOVERNOR Th e Governor was welcomed to the school by the officers of high school homerooms and by school officials. 4 The purpose of the Governor's tour was to encourage the young p e ople of the state to acquire all the education that is possible. After his address, Governor Sanford b e c a m e acquainted with many of his young listeners.

.wth I x Actual w o r k now begins. The circulation manager accepts deposits from students who wish to buy yearbooks. Pictures are a vital part of the yearbook. Many rolls of film are required to fill the layout spa ces with permanent records of all aspects of school life. 6' WA After months of dreaming, planning, writing, a nd working, the staff completes the p r e l i m i n a r y work, including athorough check of all copy and pictures. The materials are sent to the publishers who return a proof to be checked by the staff. Completed at last, the book is ready to be read and enjoyed. Q. Funds to pay the expenses of the ye arbook are raised by the sale of the yearbooks and the sale of advertising space to merchants and businessmen in the surrounding area.
