e icafion Dedicating our Annual took a lot of thought and discussion because so many people have done so much to help us. We decided that to honor only one or two individuals would be inappropriate. It would have been very hard to make the choice. We chose an organization that includes all of these wonderful persons to whom we are very much indebted-the Parent-Teachers Association of Yadkinville 'High School. We know that often the dedication page in the Annual is overlooked, but it seemed necessary to express ourselves in some way with fullest sincerity for the contributions made. This rather modest organization, usually working behind the scenes, was almost entirely responsible for purchasing our activity bus. This same group has sponsored recreation programs for us and has given much-needed financial aid in school projects, from improving the grounds to buying softballs. We only hope that future students at our school will be fortunate enough to have such an active group of persons who perform so efficiently.

ofzewofzd Like the busy Hornets, students of Yadkinville High School have created a veritable Hornets' Nest of activities around the campus again this year. It has been the aim of the staff in preparing this book to record these activities of the Hornets 'so that the reader may see the members of the student body as they are --- industrious, interest- ing, intelligent, willing to work or play as a team, ready to defend with a vicious sting any who might attack them.
