LASTW ILL AND TESTAMENT We, the graduating class of I956 of Yadkin High School of Boonville, North Carolina, be- ing of sound minds, have assembled here for the purpose of stating our last will and testament. We sincerely hope that those who receive these gifts will accept them as tokens of our love and friendship. SECTION I To our faithful Principal we leave our heartfelt gratitude for his loving kindness and co- operation in helping us to reach our goal. To our teachers we leave our compassionate feelings, with the hope that our lives may be steered by the high ideals which they have taught us. To Mrs. McCallum, our dear beloved advisor, we will our Yearbook The Eagle of l956 with the hope that the classes to follow may prosper under her guidance as much as we have. I section: II To the Juniors, we leave our gaitness on becoming Seniors. To the Sophomores, we leave confidence that you may have a well planned Junior-Senior Prom. To the Freshmen, we leave our ioy with the hopes that your High School days may be as well spent as ours. SECTION III Laura Ruth Armstrong wills her tallness to Barbara Jean Brown, her size to Dollie King, and her ability to play basketball to Gloria Gentry. Katie Sue Martin wills her bashfulness to Jessie Ray Sales, take heed Jessie and be as quiet also. Norvell Cundiff wills his basketball suit to W. C. Long with hopes that he'll use it as he did. Elnora Harris wills her figure to Lola Gray Cowan, and her walk to Beatrice Scales. Shelby Jean Dobson wills her ability to sing in Glee Club to Jean Carol Speaks, and her love to Charles Basemore. Thomas Glenn wills his tallness to James Porter, and his disposition to John Spease. Georgia S1-impson wills her best dressed styles to Hallie Porter, and her studious ability to Mattie Sue Sales. Edith Tucker wills her typing ability to Juanita Jarrett, and her boardlike shape to Elva Smith. Remember Elva laughing is catching. Rosetta Thompson wills her quietness to Marva Carson with the hopes that she'll make use of it in classrooms and the lunchroom. William Carter wills his ability to play basketball to Donald Carter, and his laugh to Pinky Cooper. Ella Ruth Sales wills her notebook to Barbara Russell, and her bowl of soup to James Arm- strong. Don't get sick, James. Charlie Williams wills his haircut to Leon Hampton. Last, but not least, we leave our blessings, tender memories of our pleasant associations to- gether, and our forgiveness for anything that we may not exactly appreciated in the demonstration of the past, and a pledge of friendship from henceforth and forever.
