FACULTY E Go ye therefore and teach all nations. Those were the words spoken by Christ to his Apostles while He was on earth. As God the Redeemer, He was a prophet, teaching people directly, and through His Apostles and their successors, indirectly. This doesn't mean that priests and religious are the only pro- phets of Christ, but lay men are also prophets. All this leads up to the Xavier Faculty with both religious and lay teachers.

f f- lnvzmx The teacher is the image of Christ develop- ing His principles to instruct his pupils and hold a firm relationship with his pupils in and out of class. A Xavier faculty member is always willing to help the students in all problems that should arise. These same teachers are the people who are to mold a fine character and future for a Christian student. ff' i55t5:Ei 52Mv 'vt -- ' , GQ , , t t T . ,'t t sz' 7- 7 As we know, there were successors to Christ to teach and instruct. This shows that there is always someone to take his predecessor's place. So too, here at Xavier, there are the young and old. The old still keep teaching, but there is always a younger man to take his place or help with his instruction. This is what we have at Xavier and what will always be at Xavier. With this the Class of l96l thanks the faculty for their wise guidance and instruc- tion which all began with the words, Go ye therefore and teach all nations.
