From over 160 communities throughout the Metropolitan area the cadets percolate in thin, blue streams to the dingy canyons of Manhattan. Daily they endure the spine- jarring jolts of every manner of conveyance in their lengthy travels to Xavier. The following pages will re- veal an accurate glance at the long sufering cadets en route. An inkling of the extent to which Xavier is truly Metropolitan is disclosed by the wlkle assortment of communities. hl X IUHN XY. Even after a few short months. everyone knew and ad- mired Mr. XValsh. The tears that flowed down many a manly eheelc speak eloquently of our love and esteem for our devoted Jesuit friend. ln him we found a model, worthy of imitation heeause he made holiness seem so simple. If we have heeome finer Catholic gentlemen, if we have come eloser to our Divine Model, it is heeause he so clearly showed us the way. Ile was too good, too holy to remain long with us.
