Committee Heads ANTHONY A. LOFFREDO Social Chairman Tony has worked unceasingly in helping to build Xaverian's reputation, and in doing so has chalked up an impressive record for himself, a record which led to his being chosen as Xaverian's Hardest Worker. Best known' as one of our top Varsity baseball pitchers, he was also a four year member of the school basketball team. Tony represented his class in SAC for three years and as a senior was chosen for the post of Co-Chairman of the Dance Committee. Two year membership in the Leo Honor Society indicates that success awaits Tony in the future. LAWRENCE J. PETRILLO Social Chairman Unofficial poet laureate of the school, Larry's style in print and in person is unmistakable. His genius with English ranges from yearbook captions to feature articles and Haiku for the X-Press. Larry's four year service on SAC's Dance Committee culmi- nated in his appointment to it as Co-Chairman in his senior year. Add to these his natural inclina- tion for athletics as well as skill in foreign lan- guages and Larry emerges as a well-balanced Xaverian graduate. JOHN W. YATES Athletic Chairman Jack Yates, our Athletic Chairman, has the rare gift of succeeding at everything he tries. As an underclassman, he was a Sodalist, class officer, mem- ber of SAC's Dance Committee and an intramural referee, and was the only Junior to win a school service trophy. As a Senior, he ran the intramural tournaments throughout the year, wrote a weekly column for the LOCAL and won first prize in the school science fair. HENRY A. NOCELLA Cultural Chairman Henry's skills as an actor and as an orator, dually testified by ringing ap- plause at school plays and numberless trophies from interscholastic contests, earned him an officership in the Drama Club, the presidency of the Ryken Debate and speech society and SAC's cultural chairmanship. Besides these, he served as Secretary of the Leo Honor Society in his Senior year in addition to being active in intramurals for all four years. ROBERT C. WILSON Religious Chairman As prefect of the Senior Sodality, Bob was instrumental in developing a truly effective program of spiritual improvement for high school seniors. In his other key position, editor-in-chief of the X-Press, Bob demonstrated an excellent combina- tion of iournalistic and organizational ability by turning out an admirable publi- cation. Having risen to the top in two fields of endeavor our Religious Chair- man should achieve much success in his chosen profession, teaching. - -use
