They are the Editorial Staff, which concentrates mainly on the production of the annual, and the Business Staff, which concentrates on financing the annual, Many long hours and much hard work go into the making of a good yearbook, and the only award for the hard workis the success in seeing a good annual produced., The Echo is made possible only by the co- operation and understanding of the staff, the school, and everyone else concerned.

STUDENT COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION The Student Cooperative Association is the most im por tant organization in a high school. Every member of George Wythe High is automaticallya member of the SCA. Since the membership ofthe school is so large, the council is m ad e up of home room and class presidents who represent the students and re- port the bu s in e s s of each meeting to their h o m e r o om . Thus, student government is carried on by a few members who bring to th e m e eting s , problems concerning each homeroom. Each year, the SCA awards em- blems for outstanding scholarship and leader- ship. It also gathers baskets for needy fami- lies atChristmas and sponsors the concession I stand at the football games.
