The girls closed the season with a zero in the loss column. The win column sparkled with victories over both Williamsport and Crestwood and the overwhelming wins over Dallas, l24-8g Hanover, 122-103 and Bishop Hoban, ll9-13. The girls retained their league championship, a symbol of hard work and deter- mination. At Districts the team proved to be the major stumbling block for other area teams - an obstacle they failed to clear. The W.V.W. Spartan girls won a hands-down victory. The District winners who advanced to state competition were Cheryl Wallace, Deanna Sabelsky, Debbie Sabalesky, Karen Pyros, Bonnie Marks, Amy Gross, Sharon Phillips, Maureen Kinney, Michele Smith, Cindy Worlinsky, and Carol Frisbie. Cheryl broke two records she set last year, the l-mile run 14:55:33 and the 880 12213163- ,- M mssasw gf wa 192 , S f 5 5, 4, We
