They were astonished at the fact that they had been out of contact for ten years. Immediately the two women began talking and reminiscing about some ofthe good times they shared in high school. Both women finally decided that it would be nice to have lunch together, so off they strolled to the nearest restaurant. While .Toanie and Barb ate their lunch their conversation seemed to center on the whereabouts of their other classmates. BARB - Tell me, Ioanie, what did you do after you graduated from college? JOANIE - I married a chemist who teaches at Notre Dame, and Ihave two children. BARB - Oh! How wonderfull I'm married too. After I finished my nurses training I married a doctor who was interning at the same hospital. I have three children, two boys and a girl. JOANIE - Say, What ever happened to Al Rapp? I wonder if he became the electrical engineer he longed to be. BARB - Yes, he did. I believe he's now working for General Electric. .TOANIE - Did you hear the latest? BARB - No. ,TOANIE - Steve Pineno and Bing Lawley have gone into business for themselves. Their shop is located near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dorothy Bushkar is typist for their corporation. BARB - Have you seen Cookie Koslick lately? ,TOANIE - I just got a letter from her the other day. She's the head buyer for Saks, Fifth Avenue. BARB - That great neuro-surgeon, Dr. Bill Watkins opened a new hospital last week. He has Barb Parra as his chief of staff and Jennie Fretti as his secretary. Pennie Pecht is medical secretary to the renowned psychologist Dr Geroge Bernard Kirchner, Ph D. JOANNIE - Carm Mazzarella, Lois Dilfield, Geri Biagioli, Joyce Medlock, and Edythe Guilford have been sent to the Union of South Africa by the Walter Reed Hospital to care for the children who were stricken with an epidemic of German measles. BARB - Gene Skursky was appointed the first Secretary of the Marines and as his undersecretary he has Lt. General Bob F edorchak. .TOANIE - Dick Miller received a citation from the President for being the first man to travel to another planet. He and Gene Bushkar now make weekly trips to Mars and the Moon. BARB - Ray Merenda, Kenneth Stevens, and John Marshock are working for the Strategic Air Command on intercontinental ballistic missiles. Richard Givens is assisting them as flight engineer. .TOANNIE - Carol Fritz has to resign as the head of Dupont's research laboratories now that she's been elected the first woman president of the United States. BARB - Who is going to take her place at Dupont? JOANIE - Two more of our former classmates are being considered. 'I'hey're Tom Endrusick and Tom Tissue. BARB - Do you have any idea as to what Walton Moffat is doing? Oh, by the way, I met Ruth Lahr last month. She's head journalist for the New York Times. Incidentally Ruby Dixon is her secretary. Excuse me for interrupting, what about Walton? ,TOANIE - Why, 1 met him last month when I flew to Philadelphia. He and Lynn Keen are mechani- cal engineers at U. S. Steel. BARB - Ray Fenner is working there too, isn't he? JOANIE - Yes, he 's one of their leading draftsmen. Guess who the stewardess on the plane was, Betty Tarapchak. She said that Mary Ann Savitsky is working on foreign flights now. BARB - What about Linda Hartman and Janice MacDonald? Do you ever hear from either of them? JOANIE - Linda never left Temple. She's nursing supervisor now. And Janice is on the nursing staff of the Medical College of Virginia. She really loves it there.
