class HISIIOR On September 7, 1955 the colors Blue and White were chosen to represent the class of '58. Our crew of sixty five was now ready to sail the rough waves of high school life. We feared nothing but the Junior and Senior Pirates,' who were always ready to send us retreating to the nearest island for safety. The reason for this necessary retreat was to avoid the initiation into senior high. While anchored in a quiet outlet, the Junior and Senior Pirates captured our crew and initiated them at the Sophomore Reception. Because of our belief in their ability, we chose the following as Captain and Mates: President, Steve Pinenog Vice-President, Cookie Koslickg Secretary, Betty Godlewiczg Treasurer, Joe Grebeck. Super- visors were Mrs. Claire Wyandt and Mr. K. R. Jones. After sailing smoothly for a month we came into port for the annual Weiner Roast at Wolf's Grove. Our next event was the play tournament. We defended ourselves by presenting You Don't Belong to Me, directed by Mrs. Bryden. The crew who helped in making this play enjoyable was Barbara Parra, Barbara Marshall, Joan Harkovich, Frances Bayo, Allan Rapp, Gene Skursky, and Bill Watkins. The remainder of our first voyage was spent in deep thought and study except for our class trip to San Souci Park. The trip was on the last day of school. Most of the boys went swimming while the girls stayed nearer the shore to go on the various rides. Came .T une and we were in dry dock for three months.

class HISIIDI2 After our summer leave was over, we started out on our second voyage. To take command in our junior year we elected the following: President, Dick Millerg Vice-President, Janice MacDonaldg Secretary, Ruby Dixon: Treasurer, Rinaldo Orlandini supervised by Miss Regina Mondlad and Mr. John Mills. Cookie Koslick was elected to replace Ruby Dixon as Secretary because Ruby moved to the Middlewest. Our crew was granted an evening's leave to once again attend the annual Weiner Roast. Dick Miller, Stan Wateski, Zig Pieszala and Tom Endrusick helped to win the biggest football game of this year, the Thanksgiving Day game. Our next venture was the Gettysburg Trip. Our guides were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Russ and Mr. and Mrs. K. R. Jones. We docked in Harrisburg where we ate chow in the Governor's Room in the Penn Harris Hotel. After chow we sailed on toGettysburg. At Gettysburg we visited the Cyclorama and toured the battle field. In the Spring of '57 we began making plans for the Junior Prom. On May 24 we sailed out to the island of Wyoming where our Prom was held. The gym was beautifully decorated in pastel shades. The music of Frankie Reynolds' Orchestra cast a romantic spell over all. This memora- ble evening brought a happy close to our sec- ond voyage. ...La-.. X
