Calorie craze Sugar, corn syrup, vegetable oils, starch, salt, lecithin, and preservatives. Doesn't this sound delicious? These things don't exactly make us hungry, but they’re in our favorite foods — junk food. It doesn’t make us want to go out and buy that good ole candy we’ve been eating, either. Snacks are an enormous source of calories. After munching on chips, candy, or cupcakes, we feel a pinch in our tummies. Could it be our jeans are shrinking? No. it must be our stomachs are expanding. So. why eat so much of it? All these ingredients combined give a delectable taste that most of us can’t resist. As long as we keep eating, we’ll remain junk food junkies.” The w icked smite on Evy Lacy's face shows she likes cheating on her diet with an occasional sundae.
