It was their hour of joy wher they won the prize for the best float in the Homecom ing Parade Beginnirg the second semester they had the good fortune b recdwe unto their midst Gunars Kulikovskis, who came from Latvia with his parents and brother They are learnirg more every day and soon they will no longer be Stage Hands, but Lordly Extras ACT II Scene I Clara Gibson and Junior Rettke were the Sophomore Class's choice this year for Homecoming King and Queen cand4dates The Sophomore Class d1dn't give any parties th's year but all in all they played the4r parts well in Scene I of Act II Mrs Bingaman was the r advisor APT II Scere II In September the Class of 1951 sponsored an all chool party In October, they nomirated Jear Petersor, Queer and Richard Jer linger, Klrg for the 1949 Howecorirp They were proud to have their candidate crowned Queen of the Homecoming. The Clase sponsored a dance which was held in the gym. The Juniors took the Sericrs to Black hawk State Park for the Junior-Senior trip. Their advisors were Miss Bleecker and Mr. Versypt.
