CLASS HISTORY 'All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players ' One bright morning in September, l9L6, a starry eyed group of youngsters decided they about lt, and at first, but of our first elected our o would like to go on the stage Of course, we knew very little little did we realize that we could not be actors and actresses just stage hands Our advisor was Miss Aileen Black At one meetings we chose our class colo s, flower, and motto We also fice s The Sophomores gave us an initiatior party and we then became full fledged members of the theater of V C F S Gur social life for the year consisted of a St Pat's party During the year, three of our mem bers Marthel Myers, Dick Thompson and Eugene Spriges left The next fall we advanced to Sophomores and the position of extras A1 tho we were a bit older and were granted more privileges, we sympathized with the stage hands Again we chose our officers and now being extras we had a new advisor, Miss Phyllis Patterson This year our President, Marjorie Milby, left our little theater for a bigger and better role that of a housewife Then came another big moment in our careers, that of understudies Our advisor during our Jr year was Mrs Brumm In the fall of this year we chose our class rings and hoped we could graduate the next year The class also pre sented their first class play, entitled 'He Couldn't Take It' , directed by Miss Haney In the spring we took the Seniors on a trip to Chicago Now, we have become the stars of W C H S Our director is Mr Bingaman and Mrs Brumm is our advisor We are hoping that our Year Book will be the best ever We were very proud to have James Marlove, our class candidate crowned as Homecoming King of l9b9 During this year we sponsored a dance on March 31 and gave the play Drums of Death In the fall of this year we spon sored an all school party, at which the Freshmen were initiated Our Senior trip was a trip to St Louis for two days We, the class of 1950, of Wyanet High School being of sound mind and memory do hereby declare this to be our last will and testament This is the document of the undersigned class of the Wyanet High School of the State of Illinois, and we hereby direct that the following requests be car- ried out to execute this, our last will and testament Letha Madsen, will my art of 'blushing' to he bashful C71 Marlowe W Bob West, will my ability to type to Bernita G , and my scholastic abili y Howard W Donna Conley, will my quiet and refined ways to Jo Anne Fletcher Jim Hall, will my ability to play basketball to Buster H Helen Behrens, will my height to Wayne B , and my ability to play ping pong to Junior Thompson Dan Augustine, will my excess weight to Jerry Jaggers and Ruth Walters I Geneva Andrews, will my laugh to Martha A. and my Shorthand book to DonE I, James Marlowe, will my sweet temper to Harry G I Margaret Smith, will my athletic ability to Jean Peterson, and my good handwriting to Dolores Ericson David Tame, will my ability to rise early and get to school on Fritz Catton time to Donna Hamrick, will my red hair and blue eyes to Flavia Caskey sales my good Corkey Hansen, will my means of transportation to Dick G , and talk to Melvin P Anita Peterson, will my popularity to Barbara Conkling Dean Hinch, will my good times in school to Martha Foulke We will to the school board the damage done by us in M years of schooling FIRST To the Jr Class we hereby will our honorable position as Seniors and our commencement night flowers to be used by them next year SECOND To the Soph Class ve will our p oud ability and supremacy over we Freshmen THIRD To the Fresd we will our ability to study and graduate in M years FOURTH Lest we forget, to our faculty we will our thanks for the patience and calmncs with which they taught us our high school education 4 , ' 1- f f f , . .
