The Physics Club under the sponsorship of Mr. David Gray, is composed of fifty-six members who are interested in physics. The club meets on the third Monday of every month. It has divided into different committees and each committee plans a meeting during the year. Some of the meetings have consisted of a trip to the Telephone Com- pany, films, and various speakers. Business meetings were alternated with social meetings each month. One of the social meetings was a Christmas Banquet at which there was a speaker on the subject of duplicating processes. A Tyronian Sweetheart was elected and crowned at the February chili supper. A money-making project was the annual Christmas wrapping paper sale. It is traditional to select the Secretary of the Year at the end The Art Club, sponsored by Miss Eileen Hughes, is made up of any art student who wishes to join. The of- ficers are: President, Kay Johnston, vice-president, Marlon Malcom, secretary, Joyce Beary, treasurer, Bob Leach, and historian, Judy Griffee. The meetings are held twice a month, a regular meeting and a sketching trip. Each year the club sponsors a semi-formal dance and the formal initiation of National Art Honor Society.
