'gazed Every ounce of loyal school spirit is aroused when the marching feet and rolling drums announce the appearance of the Wyandotte Band. Colorful, in red and gray, the 76 mem- bers march with precision and play with zest and beauty under the direction of Mr. R. A. Samuelson. The Marching Band performed with outstanding showmanship at all the football games and in the American Royal Parade. They also were chosen the Official Band for the State of Oklahoma on Oklahoma Day at the American Royal Show. The members of the Marching Band proved to be versatile musicians as they made up the Concert Band which played for the all-city By Alzce joy Mackisb Founders Day Program, The Spring Concert, and for the Commencement exercises. From the orchestra and band about 16 members are selected to form the Wyandotte Pep Band as seen at all home basketball games. Officers serving the Band for 1958-59 are: President, Gary Pickering, vice-ptesi- dent, Linda Nichols, secretary, Barbara Fryg treasurer, Paul Bicknell, sergeants-at-arms, Jim Thomann and Wayne Har- ber, managers, Phillip McBride, Bob Miller, Bob Leach. The high-stepping Majorettes are: Head Drum Major-Barbara Fry, Carolyn Wilson, Sharon Bryant, Pat Converse, Pat Russell.
