Every girl who enrolls in Wyandotte auto- matically becomes a member of the Girls' League. Its chief function is to make girls feel at home in Wyandotte. The League's first activity of the year is an assembly to acquaint girls with the clubs at Wyandotte. Also in the fall is the annual Sack- nic at Loose Park. High School Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Mr. R. A. Samuelson, the orchestra functions at every school play, in the Christmas Assembly, the Operetta, the Baccalaureate Service, and the National Honor Society Ceremony. One of the most important performances of the year is the Spring Concert. One such ensemble, composed of Alice joy Mackish, violin, Elaine Braly, cello, and Carol Keltner, piano, appeared before the Kansas State Teachers Association and the National Music Educators Association.
