The Girls' League is the largest social organization at Wyandotte, for every girl who enrolls here automatically becomes a member. In the fall, the Girls' League spon- sored an assembly designed to introduce the clubs and activities of Wyandotte to everyone. Following this was a picnic scheduled to be at Loose Park, but because of weather conditions it was held at school. The Christmas Formal at the American Legion Memorial Ballroom, mixers, and the Mother-Daughter banquet in the spring were outstanding events sponsored by the Girls' League. A new event, Qui- verian catch up, intended to obtain the last autographs from the senior class, was introduced this year. The Christmas decorations in the auditorium, and orientation for next year's Sophomore students were a part of the Council's activities. Led by Elaine Haines, president, Cindy Vaughan, vice- president, Gail Geiger, secretary, Marilyn Mahale, treasurer, and the other members of the council, every event proved to be a success. The club is ably sponsored by Miss Barnett. Assisting her are Miss Cook, Miss Hughes, Miss Fogel- strom, Mrs. Hutton, and Miss Cosner.
